Truly a beautiful gift to your loved one of spirit~ I too -lost- someone last year, a friend who I barely knew but cherished like family...A car accident took his and his daughter's physical lives and...it shattered me beyond strong masks even after graduation. The hardest petal of the healing road was not being able to apologize physical, face to face...for many mistakes that I made that nearly cost our friendship. I was 16 and very careless, but now 4 years later I've been making up for all of it even through the blinded tears and bittersweet compassion for who I was...It is my constant apology to him. But the torch of hope, and unconditionally loving dreams is the legacy I take after him.
And it may be a slow process of returning to a new beginning or what you feel is one but I believe that one way or another, we all make it there. Even if we die, it is a new beginning for other life forms.
This is absolutely stunning <3 I've always wanted to do this, and I imagined that if I ever did get a chance to float my own lantern it would look like this! Man, this is just an all around amazing photo. The lighting, the colors, the focus everything is absolutely gorgeous. You took a SPECTACULAR photo!
